First university in the world

2,700 years ago, there was a huge university in ancient India, with over 10,500 students from all over the world studying there. It was the University of Taxila (now known as Taxila) in ancient India. The world’s first university was founded in 700 BC in Taxila or Taxila or Taxila (now in Pakistan). It was located on the eastern bank of the Indus River, near the city of Taxila in the current state of Punjab in Pakistan. The university offered a wide range of subjects, from philosophy, science, medicine, mathematics, and law to literature, art, music, and more. Taxila was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1980.
